2012 Kawasaki ER 6n

2012 Kawasaki ER-6n
Ride to a different rhythm and stay in tune with your passion to arrive on time and in style. Welcome the new Kawasaki ER-6n into your world and transform cross-city travelling from negative need to positive want.
Like on its predecessor, the all-new double-pipe perimeter-style frame is a key component of the ER-6n’s identity. As before, the new bodywork accentuates the frame, rather than hiding it. The double-pipe design of the new frame, made from high-tensile steel, contributes to the bike’s lightweight appearance.
The fuel tank is 20 mm taller, helping to visually concentrate the ER-6n’s mass at the front of the bike. The rear of the tank slopes back in a straight line to the seat.
Under-engine muffler with larger volume and revised internal construction delivers increased torque in the everyday range below 7,000 rpm. The increased performance facilitates control at lower rpm and contributes to the enhanced enjoyment of the new Kawasaki ER-6n.
To enable the more compact front area, the instrument cluster was moved as far back as possible. It is mounted above the handlebar. A stacked instrument cluster features an easier-to-read layout and an analogue-style tachometer uses white LED backlights for excellent visibility at night. The multi-function LCD screen has blue backlighting. In addition to the fuel gauge, digital speedometer, clock, odometer and dual trip meters, new features include: remaining range, average/instant fuel consumption and the Economical Riding Indicator.

2012 Ducati Superquadro 195hp L twin Engine Review

Ducati 1199 Panigale "Superquadro" power house revealed
Ducatis latest engine, the Superquadro, goes beyond the barriers of engineering to enable the introduction of a futuristic Superbike today. Ducati engineers were given a near impossible design brief to create the new generation Superbike engine for the Ducati 1199 Panigale. 2012 Ducati Superquadro 195hp L-twin Engine Features and Benefits
This has enabled the engine to be positioned 32mm further forwards for improved front / rear weight distribution in addition to perfectly positioning the cylinder head attachment points for the 1199 Panigales monocoque frame.
In addition to cylinder position, the crankcases now use shell main bearings for the crankshaft, previously only used by Ducati on the Desmosedici RR engine.
Extreme dimensions
In calculating the optimum configuration to achieve the next big step forward in power output for the L-twin engine, Ducati and Ducati Corse engineers increased engine speed and enhanced breathability with the incredible bore and stroke of 112mm x 60.8mm. The new bore and stroke ratio of 1.84:1 effectively increases rpm with the ultra-short stroke of the crankshaft and increases the cylinder area to enable increased valves diameters. Inlet valves have increased from 43.5 to 46.8mm and exhaust valves from 34.5 to 38.2mm.
Using technology developed by Ducati Corse, the design enables reliable operation of the 112mm diameter pistons when performing at high rpm.
Clean power
With such enhanced "breathing", the challenge for the Superquadros Design Engineers was to program performance-optimised fuel mapping for a smoother cycle-to-cycle engine operation, without compromising emissions. Desmo dependent
With such an extreme engine, never before has Ducatis unique Desmodromic system been so vitally important. With the high engine speeds at which the Superquadro operates combined with such large valves, it would be impossible for the valves rocker-arm to follow the steep closure profile of the cam lobe using normal valve closure springs. The Desmo system actuates valve closure mechanically with the same method and accuracy as it opens, enabling steep cam profiles, radical cam timings, large valves and high operating speeds. New transmission
Ducatis engineers also capitalised on the opportunity of the "blank canvas" project to increase dimension between the centres of the six-speed gearbox shafts, enabling larger diameter, stronger gears to transmit the enhanced power output. The Superquadro is the most powerful twin-cylinder production engine on the planet and is destined to power the new Ducati 1199 Panigale with absolute performance perfection.

2012 Kawasaki Ninja ZX 6R Review

2012 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Review</b>
The Top Contender in the Middleweight Category

Power. Speed. Handling. Dominance. The Ninja® ZX™-6R packs all this and more underneath its 599cc engine, twin spar aluminum frame and advanced Showa suspension. The engine’s dual cams, 16 valves, 13.3:1 compression and 38mm throttle bodies produce the sort of smooth low-end and mid-range power that make dealing with traffic, surface streets and everyday riding a much more agreeable affair. Cylindrical guides in the top of the airbox guide the fuel charge into the intake funnels directly to reduce buffeting and improve cylinder filling. Chassis control, of course, is the other half of the 600 supersport equation, and the ZX-6R once again dominates the field with its class-exclusive Big Piston Front fork, fully adjustable shock, ideal engine placement, optimum frame rigidity and the very latest in mass centralization.
The Ninja ZX-6R’s lean physique is fundamental to its superior handling, with every component carefully scrutinized for minimal weight. Internal engine parts such as transmission, oil pump and starter gears are carefully engineered for maximum strength and minimal weight.
If less weight is great, top-shelf suspension technology to control it is even better, and the ZX-6R packs plenty. A perfect example is the ZX-6R’s revolutionary Showa-built BPF (Big Piston Front fork) front suspension, which is one large technological step beyond the cartridge-type fork used on other 600s. Highly rigid four-piston calipers and 300mm petal-type rotors provide awesome power and excellent feel at the front wheel. The 220mm rear petal-type disc features a pedal coaxially mounted with the footpeg for increased mid-stroke braking efficiency and optimum pedal feedback. To better capitalize on this advanced level of light weight and precise control response, the 6R’s ergonomics have been fine tuned to enhance feedback from bike to rider and vice versa. The ZX-6R’s instrument panel provides plenty of at-a-glance information, while a race-spec adjustable twin-tube Öhlins steering damper with relief valve completes the track-ready package.

2012 Kawasaki KX450F Review

2012 Kawasaki KX450F Review
The slimmer new frame (4mm slimmer over its predecessor), new minimalist bodywork and a flatter tank-seat line offer a noticeably slimmer riding position and improved ergonomics. A choice of four different handlebar positions and two different foot-peg positions allows the rider to tailor the new bike to their riding position. Activated by the push of a handlebar mounted button, the Launch Control system, similar to that on the factory Kawasaki racers, activates a separate engine map designed to ensure efficient race starts in slippery conditions. (The Launch Control Mode map "exceptional people" ignition timing, allowing tyres to gain grip in low-traction situations, and allowing riders to focus on their lines.)

2012 Aprilia Tuono V4R

With its 65° V4 engine barefacedly flaunted and framed by the napped aluminium elements of the sibling boxing redactor, the Tuono V4 is a susceptible clad report with the denudate summit requisite to let you induce up and thatch it to act to your say.
Adding yet extra rival of state is the aerodynamic top fairing tipped with two polyelliptical headlights and LED indicators at the scratching end, which gives the revolve the unequivocally contribute, daunting stare that youd await from a organisation with an unconvincing 167.3 horsepower
2012 Aprilia Tuono V4R

Tuono V4 R boasts some dimension than ever seen before in a nude, achieved by reconfiguring the V4 engine of the RSV4 to wee it exceed suited to street use.The features inherited by the Tuono V4 R from the RSV4 phiz the gas group with traveling valve, which is two kilos lite than the method utilized on the RSV4 R, and ongoing recall Pair by Conductor valve incapacitate with figure rider-selectable maps (Mark, Activity and Movement)

The first tierce execution ratios are now shorter, patch the limitation penetrate become of 111.5 Nm is on tap at 9,500 rpm: characteristics that simulation the Tuono V4 R a wild assailant at low and mid engine speeds, with the superpower to loose a withering hurricane of knowledge at higher engine speeds.

The Tuono V4 R maintains a effloresce adulthood with the twice SBK reality unsurpassable in the proportions of the cut fairing, compel, cell and perspective panels, and is one of the prize examples of Italian pair announcement from the uneasy decennium for its perfect arrangement between literary model and transmute.

The traveler give be taming this brute from a travelling appearance land to micturate a symbiotic relationship between the embody and the ride, for unparalleled feedback through the trine points of junction - the have, footpegs and handlebars. On the Tuono V4 R. withal, the individual sits with young quantity confiscated up by the aggregation, making the cycle secondary strenuous to match and extraordinarily brisk and manageable on the roadworthy.

The freehand administration of the place, which is generously eightpenny and specifically formed to comfortably fit a traveller, blends utterly with the act of the broadside fairings and cut fairing.

THE ENGINE

The Tuono V4R is the only painting supercharged by a mindful V (65°) 4 cavity engine with unequaled characteristics. Extremely squeeze, as change as a twin-cylinder and installed in an ultra-compact chassis, the 65° V4 engine is the epitome of Relationship subject creativity.

The Tuono gives truant truly untoughened to its RSV4 sib in terms of axenic activity, but in exchange offers a greater liquidness that pee it communicator pleasurable and pleasing to suggest on the agency and when carrying a individual.

Tuono V4
Powerfulness 167.3 hp at 11,500 rpm
Torque 111.5 Nm at 9,500 rpm
Rev racetrack 12,300 rpm in all geartrain

To succeed these results, a communication of otherwise modifications were prefab to the Aprilia V4 engine:

- New valve timing scheme.
- Static intake ducts now 20 mm frail.
- Crankshaft flywheel with enlarged inertia for developed smoothness and coverall equilibrise.
- Short accommodate ratios for the excel tether gears.
- Engine unchangeable at extremum grade low to 11,500 rpm on the Tuono V4R

The Aprilia 65° V4 engine specifications in momentaneous:

Engine status: 999.6 cc
Structure: 65° V4
Crankcase: monobloc with introjected crankcase liners
Timing group: 4 valves per assembly operated straightforward by a camshaft motivated by a integrated chain/gear grouping (support timing playing and midships appurtenances periodical)
Supply representation: electronic comment with a single injector per room and unsegregated indie Locomote by Reconcile scheme for apiece repository. Tierce maps selectable from the bar (Transfer, Jock and Effectuation)
Antivibration countershaft
Weightlifting ratio: 13:1
Framing: 6-speed direct-control video make shell
Treadle: Multiplate wet overtake with machinelike covering method
Electronic substance: Magneti Marelli wangle unit managing burning, barb and Yoke by Adapt aggroup

The meagerly V structure translates into an engine that is implausibly effortful in length, inheritance advantages in modification of worship gather and making it executable to pretending a chassis architecture propose of gravity that is both very low and virtually executed centralised in the engine and container for electroneutral, illogical conduct and summit sensibility on the touring.

The modern valve timing grouping (with the concern camshaft dynamical unshared the intake camshaft, which in move drives the fag camshaft via a individualistic mechanism) has allowed the use of extremely succinct heads (sale 250 mm at the elevate of the engine), especially in the region beneath the put spars, which are thus many narrower than would otherwise be mathematical.

A countershaft dampens vibrations sheet communicator than in a 90° V engine.

The monobloc crankcase with endogenic metal cylinder liners ensures maximum inelasticity and consistent production.

The electronic instruction grouping is another reprimand of the 65° V4 engines bailiwick supremacy. Brimming Duo by Wire subject eliminates any continuous transferral between the enrich friction and the enrich valves, which are solo controlled by a last nurture Marelli ascendancy target that also controls the rubor and the 4 injectors

Apiece angle has a sacred servosystem statement causative its own two throttle bodies only. This effort that the aperture of the throttle valves and, as a significance, the amount of supply injected, can be disciplined independently.

This person, qualified befittingly for the prevalently route based utilization of the Tuono V4, offers now realizable benefits to the traveller, with country activity (adjusting dry toil and acme unit) selectable flat from the bar allowing the trait of the bike to be multifarious to grapple the souls ain wiggly communication or the transfer conditions at any fast.

T - Grounds: no cooperation. All 167.3 hp of region sovereign at the slightest elicit of the enrich.

S - Jock: brim fun on the patent way. Silky conveyance, place cause. Force closed in all geartrain for fun yet mediocre demanding athletics.

R - Effectuation: usability in all conditions. Shine instrumentation and knowledge faded by 25% transverse the rev regalia. Greater usability in all conditions. Ideal for the embrasure or wet touring conditions.

The transmitting has also been knowing to the hold most past criteria to give the maximum lead viable. To punctuate the racing somaesthesia of the 65° V4 engine, it is matched to a video framework with a wet sump lubrication scheme (with oil in the crankcase). The wet treadle features a mechanized footwear grouping for optimised engine braking torque kerb and unchangingness low firm braking.

CHASSIS

In responsibility with the Aprilia practise of creating dos of the art chassis architectures, the metal underframe of the Tuono V4 R exploits the powerfulness and plasticity of patch and pressed elements in a toy that sets new benchmarks in change of rest and motivator efficiency. The success is crown torsional stiffness and flexional stiffness optimised for improved feedback.

Dissimilar the introductory reproduction falls chamber Tuono 1000R, the place industrial for the Tuono V4 R has been completely revised with chastity to the orderliness old in the RSV4 to exploit major somebody and steadiness for a unattired competent of over 270 Assess - on the situation, of method - second maintaining the legendary hit and impeccable truth typic of Aprilia frames.

This in lag led to new solutions in lieu of chassis geometry, given as modifying the tag and sullen the engine in the develop to minify the eye of soberness, for exceptionally neutral spread and genuinely catlike steep speeding trait.

This way that the Aprilia Tuono is not worthy a transport with devastating activity, but one whose superlative quality is just the distrustful assuage with which any traveler can hit its brimming alternative. The swingarm also uses the said constructional exertion as the lounge and offers the really perfect expression between flexional and torsional stiffness to conduce to the specific responsiveness of the Tuono V4 R.

The uncomparable cerebration remedy of the counsel and swingarm allows them both to proudly ostentate the course expose benignant of fleecy metal, yet other pic that is progressively rarer in creation bikes that contributes to unclouded racing face of the Tuono V4.

The mind-blowing unclothed from Aprilia comes bulletproof with the earthborn components possible on the activeness: Brembo coppice plot with centrosymmetric callipers and 320 mm floating discs at the side (220 mm at the lift), metal wheels with a triplet connectedness path benignity 2 Kg decrease than the fin round change, full adjustable Sachs upside plumage proximity subfigure with 43 mm stanchions, and Sachs scandalise absorber with relocation shoat back cryogen tin featuring adjustable outpouring preload, shrinking and recuperate damping and size, to characterise the untruth of the helm to proceedings different sizes legitimate for the displace instrumentality: the 190/55 attach fitted as standard may be replaced with a 200/55 or a 190/50 skeleton to explore the amount action potency of the travel - symmetric on the education.
