The 2013 Ducati Superbike 1199 Panigale

This is 2013 Ducati Superbike 1199 Panigale. It’s offer supreme performance, superlative technology, magnetic personality and enthralling design. This bike design and engineering to set the most extreme benchmark ever and the direction for future sport bikes. This new generation equip with many latest superlatif technology from Ducati Corse such as latest-generation sports ABS system, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES), Ducati Quick-Shift (DQS), Ducatis race-derived Engine Brake Control (EBC) and Ride-by-Wire (RbW) are now all programmed into seamless, electronic rider assistance. Even the full colour Thin Film Transistor (TFT) display changes to suit the riders environment.

The heart of this bike built in superquadro 1198cc type L-twin cylinder, 4 valve per cylinder, desmodromic, liquid cooled, fuel injection addapted Mitsubishi electronic fuel injection system, twin injectors per cylinder, full ride-by-wire, elliptical throttle bodies. The increased amount of air and fuel the engine can mix due to the larger diameter of intake valves is guaranteed by the new oval-sectioned throttle bodies, which compared to a 63.9 equivalent diameter. The throttle bodies are controlled by a full Ride-by-Wire system, each separate from the other and are fitted with 2 injectors each.
The 1199 Panigales chassis marks an different components have been integrated to give shape to a single compact and lightweight element. The monocoque frame is fixed directly to the cylinder head, and at front are two aluminium bushings inserted with the steering tube bearings. The monocoque also acts as an air-box and significantly contributes to lowering the overall weight of the motorcycle.
For suspension the 1199 Panigale used Marzocchi 50mm pressurized and fully adjustable usd fork with hard anodized aluminum lightweight slider in front and fully adjustable Sachs unit, adjustable linkage with progressive/flat, aluminum single-sided swingarm in rear side. For braking, this bike used double 330mm semi-floating discs, radially mounted Brembo Monobloc M50 4-piston callipers with ABS optional +2.5kg (+5.5lb) in front side and 245mm disc, 2-piston calliper in rear side. For price, 2013 Ducati Superbike 1199 Panigale released in US MSRP Price: $17,995 USD and in Canada MSRP Price: $19,995 CDN.

2012 Ducati Superquadro 195hp L twin Engine Review

Ducati 1199 Panigale "Superquadro" power house revealed
Ducatis latest engine, the Superquadro, goes beyond the barriers of engineering to enable the introduction of a futuristic Superbike today. Ducati engineers were given a near impossible design brief to create the new generation Superbike engine for the Ducati 1199 Panigale. 2012 Ducati Superquadro 195hp L-twin Engine Features and Benefits
This has enabled the engine to be positioned 32mm further forwards for improved front / rear weight distribution in addition to perfectly positioning the cylinder head attachment points for the 1199 Panigales monocoque frame.
In addition to cylinder position, the crankcases now use shell main bearings for the crankshaft, previously only used by Ducati on the Desmosedici RR engine.
Extreme dimensions
In calculating the optimum configuration to achieve the next big step forward in power output for the L-twin engine, Ducati and Ducati Corse engineers increased engine speed and enhanced breathability with the incredible bore and stroke of 112mm x 60.8mm. The new bore and stroke ratio of 1.84:1 effectively increases rpm with the ultra-short stroke of the crankshaft and increases the cylinder area to enable increased valves diameters. Inlet valves have increased from 43.5 to 46.8mm and exhaust valves from 34.5 to 38.2mm.
Using technology developed by Ducati Corse, the design enables reliable operation of the 112mm diameter pistons when performing at high rpm.
Clean power
With such enhanced "breathing", the challenge for the Superquadros Design Engineers was to program performance-optimised fuel mapping for a smoother cycle-to-cycle engine operation, without compromising emissions. Desmo dependent
With such an extreme engine, never before has Ducatis unique Desmodromic system been so vitally important. With the high engine speeds at which the Superquadro operates combined with such large valves, it would be impossible for the valves rocker-arm to follow the steep closure profile of the cam lobe using normal valve closure springs. The Desmo system actuates valve closure mechanically with the same method and accuracy as it opens, enabling steep cam profiles, radical cam timings, large valves and high operating speeds. New transmission
Ducatis engineers also capitalised on the opportunity of the "blank canvas" project to increase dimension between the centres of the six-speed gearbox shafts, enabling larger diameter, stronger gears to transmit the enhanced power output. The Superquadro is the most powerful twin-cylinder production engine on the planet and is destined to power the new Ducati 1199 Panigale with absolute performance perfection.

2013 Ducati Hypermotard

2013 Ducati Hypermotard - The Ducati Hypermotard is a Supermoto Ducati motorcycle designed by Pierre Terblanche and was first seen at the November 2005 EICMA trade show in Milan. The Hypermotard was awarded "Best of Show" at EICMA and has since won other show awards. The Hypermotard has a 1,078 cc dual spark Desmo or Desmodromic aired-cooled two-valve 90° V-twin engine with fuel injection and weighs under 180 kg. The Hypermotard is capable of speeds in the region of 125 mph (201 km/h), but many people choose this kind of bike for having fun at speeds of up 100 mph and accept that theres limited protection from wind blast at higher speeds compared to some motorcycles, due to the upright riding position and lack of screen. The rigidly triangulated trellis frame wears 50 mm Marzocchi R.A.C. inverted forks, and has a Sachs remote reservoir shock attached to a strong, single-sided swing arm. The Marchesini racing wheels wear dual radially mounted Brembo four-piston, two-pad brake calipers matched with 305 mm discs up front, and a 245 mm disc with two-piston caliper at the rear.

Ducati unveiled the 2013 Ducati Hypermotard line-up in November 2012. The three new models will receive countless updates from frame, body, suspension, exhaust, electronics and ergonomics. The 2013 Ducati Hypermotard base model simply called Hypermotard has a new 11-degree testastretta 821 cc engine with longer valve service intervals, ride-by-wire, traction control and ABS and a 16-litre fuel tank. The Hypermotard line-up will also benefit from a new display and ride-by-wire system allowing riders to switch between different traction/ABS/throttle modes for street, track and rain.

The 2013 Ducati Hypermotard SP has a slightly lesser weight thanks to the use of carbon fibre engine and body compenents, and has higher suspension travel and response similar to the last generation. It will also utilitize the brand new 821 cc engine and lightweight wheels similar to those on the 1199 Panigale S. The Hyperstrada is a variation of the Hypermotard with longer touring trips in mind. A purposeful seat, higher handlebars, windscreen and side bags make Hyperstrada easy to differentiate from the other two models.
